Losing a loved one can be a very difficult time. At St Peter's we want to support you as much as possible.
Choosing to have a Church of England funeral means you will get a minister to lead a Christian service. The service will contain prayers and hymns if you'd like them. There will also be an opportunity to speak about the life of the person who has died. The minister can do this on your behalf if you would like. There is a lot of flexibility in the service, so the minister will take time to go through these options with you before the service.
The funeral can take place in the church, followed by a cremation or burial, or the whole service can take place in the Crematorium. We have 2 ministers at St Peter's who may take the funeral; our curate, Rev Emily or our vicar, Rev Becky.
